Malawi : The Ilala Ferry

The Ilala Ferry: probably twice my age and still sailing. Most ports along the lake aren't deep enough for the ferry. So a motorboat such as this one is used to transfer passengers from the beaches to the ferry and back. Another very old ship docked at Monkey Bay. Like with most public transportation in Malawi, it's quite possible that it actually may still be in service.
