Malawi : The funeral A few days before she passed away, my mother came to me asking if I was still planning on joining her on her next visit to Malawi. Unfortunatly, that never came to be. I don't know if she would have wished this, but I've kept my promise and brought back part of her ashes, so that now, she once again is united with her homeland and the family she left behind. For me, the real reason for returning to Malawi is now lost with her forever; but at the same time, bringing her back home was a touching and endearing experience I'll never forget. 11 photos |
